"Je chante le corps électrique", écrivit le poète Walt Whitman, inspirant ainsi un titre à Ray Bradbury et Weather Report, respectivement pour un livre et pour un album.
Dans « Worlds », le chant est un souffle. Deux instrumentistes apportent à leur instrument acoustique l'énergie humaine de leur respiration par-dessus le son des synthétiseurs qu'alimente l'énergie électrique. Peut-être cette dernière provenait-elle d'une éolienne, et que tout aurait ainsi trouvé sa source au départ du vent et du souffle qui sont la Vie. C'est en tout cas en soufflant par-dessus le son électrique que la musique électro-jazz de « Worlds » a pris forme.
« I sing the body electric », wrote the poet Walt Whitman, thereby inspiring a title to Ray Bradbury and Weather Report, respectively for a book and for an album.
In the present album "Worlds", the singing is a breath. Two instrumentalists bring to their acoustic instrument the human energy of their blow above the sound of synthesizers that electric energy powers. Perhaps the latter came from a wind turbine, and that everything then would have found its source from the wind and the breath, which are Life.
In any case – to paraphrase Whitman – it was by blowing above the sound electric that the electro-jazz music of "Worlds" took shape.
